Together with Christoph Schindelar (Scanning Specialist) and JeanClaude Grieco from www.fotomento.at we’re part of a cross-border heritage initiative focused on digitally preserving Gothic churches across Austria (and parts of Bohemia).
Our team is responsible for the Austrian side of the digitalization process.
We had the pleasure of working with Christoph – an incredible professional who shares the same passion and enthusiasm for 3D scanning as I do.
Radiance Fields Test
MADCHAMO’s role involves processing scans using georeferenced photogrammetry and Gaussian Splatting, combining RTK drone data with ground-based captures to reconstruct both the interior and exterior of these stunning architectural structures.
For this reveal, we are sharing a first preview – a Gaussian Splatting test render of the Wartberg church, created using a RealityScan – PostShot workflow.
For this project, there are over 30 churches to be scanned and processed, so a test was crucial to get the proper workflow and test the new scanning technology.
