Game-ready environment Prop, made after taking the FlippedNormals course by Hannah Watts.

Project Overview

The course was using 3DS Max as the main dcc app. but I chose to follow my own workflow, keeping an eye at the tutorial. For this asset training I used Maya for the low poly creation and UV’s. The high-poly model was made using Zbrush and for the texturing I used both Substance Painter (just like in the course), but also Substance Designer to create more custom grunges and effects on my prop.

Early days

Transparency is key and a core part of how MADCHAMO is shaping its identity. In that spirit, even early projects, created simply to build skills or explore new workflows, are shared as reference. Why not? Not every reference piece needs to be a blockbuster; even Netflix started out renting VHS tapes. MADCHAMO began many years ago with pure passion and a lot of training.
